@paulrobertlloyd Try Maastricht in the south (oldest city in NL), or Groningen up north (very leftie). Or try ‘s-Hertogenbosch (closer to the Randstad, if you’re on a strict schedule). All three are known as vestingstad; fortified cities with beautiful historical city centres.

@grayareas He’s so right! “Cinematography, Film Editing will be presented during commercial breaks” is such a massive disdain for cinema...

@bitdepth Too bad this isn’t available in Europe yet...!

@bitdepth @kulturnation I’m quite sure that my kids prefer ‘cattails’ over ‘cigars’ 😉

@bitdepth And in Dutch they’re called ‘cigars’. 🙂

@courtney On your coffee, like a pro!

@adders Great blog post, made me hopeful again! Especially that publisher‘s quote got me smiling: “We aren’t interested in building communities on external platforms for the benefit of that platform.”

@bradbarrish couldn’t agree with you more. And thanks for the link!

@charliepark thanks for this great reminder

@toddgrotenhuis Good read, thanks for sharing!

@bitdepth Thanks for this episode, I can already foresee a great series in the making! The microcast format also seems a perfect fit for this: so much information in such a short amount of time!

@patrickrhone we’re re not holding our breath though... > The Dutch government has only granted 100 of 1,360 applications for a child’s pardon since May 2013.

@toddgrotenhuis thanks for posting that!

@manton. At least this sentence should sound like music to your ears: “Some parents (37 percent) believe personal websites will take the place of social media, and created a website with this in mind.” First comes baby, then comes baby’s personalized domain name

@manton in an ideal world, every newborn should get a free domain name at birth, next to it’s social security number. In the meantime, parents already are taking matters in their own hands, picking their baby’s names based on available domain names.

@artkavanagh Thanks! I’m absolutely sure I will watch all your suggested films since I’m kind of hooked already: the last couple of days I watched both The excorsist and Sorcerer! Checking off Friedkin films one by one in chronological order 🙂

@artkavanagh I am definitely going to watch more of his films! Starting with The Excorcist though, since I’m currently into seventies cinema a lot. Any more tips on that perhaps?
